The mobile robot Thymio II has been developed in collaboration by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and the Cantonal Art School of Lausanne (écal). Their aim is to provide an educational mobile robot at a low price.

Aseba studio is an open-source integrated development environment allowing to create and debug scripts for the mobile robot Thymio II but also for the e-puck robot.

The Aseba language allows a programming based on events. Its syntax is inspired by Matlab, but simplified: only one basic type, the 16-bits integer, and tables.

Download and install Aseba Studio. If your mobile robot Thymio II is turned on and plugged to your computer, the software will detect it automatically.
